No último podcast do site norte-americano Bionic Commando, Keiji Inafune, o criador de Mega Man, confirmou que, pelo menos até o momento, o robô azul não está no jogo Super Smash Bros. Brawl.Em uma entrevista bastante bem humorada, o designer disse que "até agora, ninguém da Nintendo veio me fazer uma proposta. Talvez ainda haja tempo; estamos há algumas semanas do lançamento, quem sabe? E quem sabe também alguém de lá está ouvindo este podcast e virá falar comigo".
